Learning to Coach, Coaching to Learn

Participants of the recent Learning to Coach, Coaching to Learn workshopsseries were introduced to the skills and knowledge from the Cognitive Coaching program. They explored how planning and reflective conversations can assist leadership with schools to support teaching and learning, how coaching differs from facilitation for learning and how using effective mediative questions can assist student learning in the classroom. One participant commented;

"it was the most significant professional learning I have undertaken in a very long time. This will certainly assist me in the work I am doing with my teachers".

The ANSN in partnership with the Center for Cognitive Coaching is finalising details for further Foundation Training to happen in Melbourne, Perth and Tasmania in 2009. There is also the chance to be involved in a research circle with details of this on the ANSN website. For any queries relating to Cognitive Coaching please contact us.
