Throughout 2009, ANSN national networker Hanan Harrison has been working in partnership with Education Queensland International on the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR)-funded project Integrating ICT Pedagogy in School Community. Hanan was contracted to develop, deliver and evaluate a national project targeting teachers and school leaders in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as an integrating teaching tool.

The aim of the hub is to enable groups of teachers from interested schools to design engaging and rigorous learning experiences for their students, whilst supporting one another in the learning. 

The hub caters for teachers in primary, secondary and special settings.

Applications are open for the 2010 Interactive Whiteboard Hub in Victoria. This hub has been designed for educators who want to further develop their skills and practices using Promethean Interactive Whiteboards. The aim of the hub is to enable teachers to use IWBs in designing engaging and rigorous learning experiences for their students. This hub deliberately caters for teachers in primary, secondary and special settings.

The Australian National Schools Network is facilitating an exciting national Project in conjunction with Education Queensland International and supported by the AGQTP.

The Project will provide opportunities for teams of teachers, between 2 and 4 from each school, to engage in a supported ICT project focussing on improving ICT pedagogy. The participating teachers can already be proficient users of ICT or teachers who would like to develop their skills further.

The Australian National Schools Network (ANSN) is hosting a national forum to discuss the Federal Government’s Education Revolution two years into its term in office, and its impact on school education.

The Deputy Prime Minister the Hon. Julia Gillard will launch this year’s forum and will deliver a précis on the Governments progress and accomplishments to date.
