`Turnaround teaching in challenging schools’ - half day workshop
Our poorest schools continue to get the poorest results. School leaders and teachers can make a bigger difference in our most challenging schools if they embrace some core pedagogical practices that have emanated from the most recent Australian research into best practice teaching in the middle and senior years of schooling.
This workshop will offer educators an insight into using `turnaround pedagogy’ and a challenge to embrace more work in this field of inquiry. The workshop is offered by Andrew Bills, Research Fellow at the University of South Australia, who has worked as a teacher, bureaucrat and researcher attending to improving outcomes in schools confronting educational disadvantage. A two hour session costs just $50 payable prior to the workshop to the ANSN PO Box 544 Strawberry Hills NSW 2012.
