Can IWB's help to improve teacher pedagogy and student learning outcomes in the classroom?
The Australian National Schools Network (ANSN) invites interested teachers and clusters to join an exciting Victorian Project investigating the use of Interactive whiteboards in classrooms.
The project has be designed and developed by the ANSN in partnership with Commander Australia Limited. Participants will be involved over a period of 12 months and the following benefits are anticipated:
Schools/Clusters
- A 78" diagonal interactive whiteboard, data projector and software fully installed in a designated classroom
- Option to purchase additional boards at project prices
- Deferred payment option available on additional boards
- Improved student motivation to attend to and engage in tasks
Teacher with IWBTeachers:
- Experience of a collaborative professional learning community through the relationships developed between teachers across Victoria underpinned by the ANSN norms
- Access to a comprehensive training program facilitated by Kate Seabrook from Commander whiteboards
- Exposure to and experience in a repertoire of pedagogical practices using IWB's that will engage students more effectively in their learning pursuits in the classroom and beyond
Students:
- Increased levels of satisfaction, motivation and success in their learning experiences
- Enhanced engagement in the learning process
- Exposure to interactive technology-based experiences and increased positive attitudes to learning that may result in improved attendance rates
